Chef Michael Chiarello has returned to his culinary roots by creating seasonal farm-to-table Italian cuisine reflecting the bold flavors of Chiarello’s heritage in his signature style 1st made famous at Tra Vigne in the 90’s. An award winning chef/vintner & Food Network host, Chiarello celebrates his Italian roots and the Napa Valley with a menu echoing his long practice of using the finest locally/sustainably produced food. Located in Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Bottega’s extensive wine list represents hard-to-find favorites of the Valley and interesting Italian selections. Chiarello restored the integrity of an old 1800’s estate by uncovering beautiful hard wood floors, timber beams, old brick walls and windows. The inviting dining room is accented with reclaimed antiques, warm fabrics and eclectic light fixtures lending to the restaurant’s old world comfort. With a career spanning over 30 years, Michael Chiarello is one of the country's most beloved chefs. In addition to his culinary accolades Chiarello is an accomplished winemaker, notable author, seasoned television host and creator of one of Napa's leading lifestyle brands. The chef and owner of critically acclaimed Napa Valley restaurant Bottega, his signature Mediterranean cooking style is inspired by his Southern Italian roots and the unparalleled region he calls home. Michael Chiarello's Bio He is the author of six cookbooks (lauded by IACP and the James Beard Foundation), and serves as the tastemaker behind the NapaStyle retail line of artisanal foods, kitchenware and home décor. The Emmy Award-winning show Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello premiered on Food Network in 2003 and now airs daily on Cooking Channel. Michael has also appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef and Top Chef Masters, and will compete on Food Network’s The Next Iron Chef in fall 2011. His Consorzio Flavored Oils earned the "Best Product Line Award" at the International Fancy Food Show, and he brings his passion for sustainability to Chiarello Family Vineyards which features high-scoring small-production wines. Influenced by his Italian family of butchers, cheese makers and ranchers, Michael graduated from CIA and was named Food & Wine Chef of the Year just three years after graduation. Lunch Menu Chef Chiarello has created a menu of micro-regional Italian cuisine, selecting the best dishes from across Italy and anchoring them with artisanal, heritage, or house-made ingredients. Chef and his team carefully select the purveyors for produce, meat and fish, and focus as much as possible on local sources. Pastas, cured meats, fresh cheeses, cured olives and the like are all made in house. The menu is divided into, Antipasti, Pasta, Secondi (main course) and Contorni (vegetable side dishes). Dessert and Cheese, Specialty Cocktail and Lounge menus are also available.
